Upload files for items and sessions #
To equip sessions with relevant documents and media, files can be uploaded directly within the respective session. This requires that a session bucket for files has been set up. Once this bucket has been set up, the "Files" tab will appear in the session, where files can be uploaded and managed.
Using the button “Select or drag files here” A new file is uploaded. Files are uploaded from local storage with a click, or they can be dragged and dropped directly into the designated field.
After the successful upload, the uploaded file must be saved by clicking on “Add file(s)” be permanently added to the session. This ensures that the file is saved and made accessible to other users.
After a file has been successfully added, it can then be saved under "Edit" This is especially useful for giving files meaningful names that better describe their contents.
For each uploaded file, additional text can be added below the "Description" field. This text will be displayed along with the file and can include additional information or explanations about the file content. This makes it easier for users to quickly understand the uploaded documents.
Files can be deleted at any time in a session's file overview. A deleted file is immediately removed from the session and is no longer visible in the frontend. This provides flexibility in managing content and ensures that only relevant and up-to-date files are accessible to users.
