With the module “Questionnaires” Different types of questionnaires are created. You can create questionnaires with a limited time or with many different answer options. There is the right function for every application. Here we explain how to create a questionnaire and define questions and answers, as well as the different answer modes. Information on detailed settings in the Questionnaires module can be found here.
Create a questionnaire #
Under Contents >> Questionnaires you will get to the questionnaire overview. “Add new questionnaire” You create a new questionnaire here.
Under Generally First, enter the name of the questionnaire. The corresponding placeholder will be created automatically after the first save.
Under Ranking you can activate the ranking function for users.
With Share on social media You can enable users to share the rankings on social networks.
Under Diploma You define the options after completing the questionnaire.
Under Settings You define further details such as progress indicator, duration and page to which you should be redirected after completion.
By clicking on the button “Add new questionnaire” You create your questionnaire and save the previous settings.
Define questions #
By clicking on “Edit elements” In the questionnaires module you will find the question overview of the respective questionnaire.
By clicking on “Add new questionnaire item” You create a new question for your questionnaire.
Now you enter the name, position and text of the question and define, for example, whether the question should be a required field.
Under "Answer" You create the answer(s) to your question. You can select the following types:
Single Choice #
The user can one Select an answer from multiple options. This is ideal for yes/no questions or simple decision questions.
Multiple Choice #
In contrast to the single selection, users can several Select options at once. Use this for questions with multiple correct answers.
Drag & Drop #
Here, users can move and arrange elements using drag and drop. This is perfect for sequence questions or interactive tasks. You can add as many elements + explanations as you like.
Drag & Drop with images #
An extended version of the drag & drop mode. Here you can Pictures instead of text. Ideal for visual tests or image matching.
Image Map #
This mode allows users to select an area on an image. Ideal for interactive maps, graphics, or images that require selection. This allows you to specify elements on an uploaded image that require clicking.
Gap text #
Users are required to fill in missing words in a text. This is ideal for knowledge checks or quizzes.
text #
This mode allows short, text-based answers. It's ideal for simple feedback or keyword replies.
Free text #
In contrast to the simple text mode, users can longer texts Use this for detailed feedback or open questions.
Diploma #
The “Conclusion” mode is used at the end of the questionnaire to say goodbye to participants or to give further instructions.
Example:
- "Thank you for your participation. Click "Next" to submit your answers."
Drag & Drop Matrix #
A matrix with drag & drop functionality allows users to assign items to multiple categories or areas.
Drag & Drop Pyramid #
In this mode, users arrange items in a pyramid shape, for example from “most important” to “least important”.
Gap Fill Fix #
Similar to a regular fill-in-the-blank test, but with predefined, fixed answer options. Users choose from drop-down menus within a text.
Inflation calculator #
A special mode that enables dynamic calculations. This is suitable for financial forms or specific calculation tasks.
Once you are satisfied with your questionnaire element, you can save it by clicking on “Add new questionnaire item” save or with “Add new questionnaire item & add a new one” additionally create another one directly.
