Check-in & Badges

The function Check-in & Badges The settings section allows organizers to customize the check-in function for events and create badges for attendees. In the following article, we explain how to configure the various options in this area to streamline the check-in process and create custom badges for attendees.
Use these options to offer your event attendees a seamless check-in experience and design badges that match the corporate identity of your company or event.

Web App Check In #

Web check-in app visible #

Activate this switch to enable web app check-in for the event. When enabled, ONevents' own web app can be used for the check-in process.

This option displays a direct link to the participant badges in the User list Especially useful for quick access to badges.

Use external barcode scanner (or keyboard) #

Enable this feature if you use a barcode scanner (or keyboard) for the web app check-in. It's ideal for speeding up and simplifying entry by scanning QR codes on badges, for example.

Identification field #

From the drop-down menu, select the field to be used as the primary identification method for check-in.

Adaptation of the web app check-in interface #

Check-in Body Background Color and Check-in Header Background Color #

Here you can set the background colors for the main part (body) and the Header of the Web App Check In area. This is done either via a RGB color selection or by entering a HEX value. The color adjustments improve branding and ensure a consistent appearance that matches the event's corporate identity.

font color #

Choose the font color that will be displayed in the web app check in. Here too, via a RGB color selection or by entering a specific HEX value.

  • Tip: Ensure sufficient contrast with the background color to ensure readability.

Customizing user badges #

Width, height and Alignment #

Define the dimensions of the badges and their orientation (portrait or landscape).

  • Notice: For example, default values are 595 x 842. This size is suitable for portrait orientation and provides ample space for important information. Choose the orientation that best suits your badge design.

Template file #

If you want to use a specific layout, upload a custom design template (e.g. as a PDF) for the badges in this field.

Manual double-sided printing #

Enable this option if you want to manually use the printer for double-sided printing.

  • Tip: Especially useful for events where double-sided badges are required.

Contents #

Under Contents You can use HTML to control the layout and information of the badges. By customizing these HTML elements, you can ensure that the badges contain all the important information while remaining attractively designed.

  • Example code for badge content:
<img width="200" src="%LOGO_SRC%">

<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>

<h3>$USER_FIRST_NAME$ $USER_LAST_NAME$</h3>

<br>

<img src="data:image/png;base64,$USER_QRCODE$">

  • This results in a simple user badge that contains your logo, user name, and a user-specific QR code.

placeholder #

A variety of placeholders are available here for inserting participant information such as names, company names, or QR codes. You can find out more about placeholders here. here.

Extra CSS #
